211 Calgary and 211 Edmonton have partnered to deliver 211 service to the communities currently served in Alberta. They provide phone and online support and resource management services for the province. The regional partners provide the necessary link to their individual communities. Canadian Mental Health Association – Edmonton
211 Alberta – Edmonton and Area is operated by the Canadian Mental Health Association – Edmonton Region. 211 Edmonton responds to contacts from the northern regions of Alberta.
Distress Centre Calgary
Distress Centre Calgary provides 24-hour crisis support, as well as daily online chat support, professional counselling and referrals to residents of Calgary and Area. 211 Alberta – Calgary and Area is operated by Distress Centre. 211 Calgary responds to contacts from the central and southern regions of Alberta. 211 Calgary’s Community Resource Database team plays a large role in the maintenance of the InformAlberta database.
Alberta Health Services
Alberta Health Services partners with 211 to provide accurate and up-to-date information about services across the province. Alberta Health Services owns the InformAlberta database, in which 211 Alberta inputs and regularly updates information about community agencies and programs. The database is available for use by the public, service providers, Health Link, 211, and various other helplines and crisis lines in Alberta. The database is maintained by multiple data partners.
